During the lifting process of a crane, pulleys play a very important role and are also a part that is prone to malfunction. When the pulley of the crane malfunctions, the cause of the problem should be identified in order to better solve the problem.
1. Uneven wear of pulley groove. Uneven wear of the pulley groove may be due to uneven material of the pulley; Secondly, the installation of pulleys does not meet the requirements; The third reason is due to poor contact between the rope and the wheel. Regardless of the reason, if the wheel wear is not too severe during inspection, the installation size can be adjusted to eliminate it. If the groove wall wear reaches 1/10 of the original thickness and 1/5 of the radial wear diameter, the pulley should be replaced.
2. The pulley cannot rotate. The inability of the pulley to rotate may be caused by damage to the pulley shaft, which can cause wear on the shaft and wire rope. In addition to proper lubrication, when the wear on the pulley shaft reaches 3% to 5% of the nominal diameter, the shaft should be replaced.
3. The pulley is tilted, loose, cracked, or the wheel edge is broken. This fault is caused by loose positioning components on the pulley shaft or wire rope jumping. If the pulley is found to be tilted or loose during inspection, the fixed pulley should be reinstalled. If cracks or broken wheel edges are found during inspection, new pulleys should be replaced immediately. Environmental issues, such as uneven or sloping ground at the installation site, or ground collapse during operation, can cause the crane to tip over during operation.
The above is the common faults and solutions of crane pulleys introduced by Shandong Qilide Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. in this issue, hoping to bring help to everyone.
