How to inspect before using a double girder crane

To prevent accidents during the operation of double girder cranes, the operators must inspect the following items before use, as compiled by Shandong Portal Crane Manufacturer:

1. Work only when everything is normal. Ensure the audible signal sounds correctly. The coupling on the tapered shaft must not be loose. The buffers and limit switches of the large and small vehicles must be intact and reliable.

2. Under no-load conditions, energize the system, start and inspect all operating mechanisms, control systems, and safety devices. They must be sensitive, accurate, safe, and reliable before operation is permitted.

3. The steel wire rope must be securely fastened and wound correctly, with damage not exceeding the scrapping standard. The rope clamps must be firmly and reliably secured. The pulley must rotate smoothly without cracks or fractures

4. The collector and flexible cable must not exhibit any hanging, jamming, contact, or detachment. All safety switches shall be intact, flexible, and reliable (especially the lifting and closing mechanisms).

5. The controller contacts should ensure good contact and maintain normal speed regulation. All brakes must operate smoothly and reliably (especially the hoisting mechanism).

6. There must be no obstacles on the tracks of the large and small cars. The motor carbon brushes and slip rings should be smooth, with good contact and normal speed regulation.
